Gunkajjima is uninhabited island in the Nagasaki Prefecture about 15 kilometers from Nagasaki itself.
The island was populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility.
The island's most notable features are the abandoned concrete buildings and the sea wall surrounding it.

San Zhi, Taiwan is an abandoned vacation resort on the northern coast of Taiwan. It was built in the early 1980s,
but construction of the futuristic resort ceased after a series of fatal accidents.

Pripyat, Ukraine
Pripyat, is an abandoned city in the zone of alienation in northern Ukraine, Kiev Oblast, near the border with Belarus.
The city was founded in 1970 to house the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant workers, and was abandoned in 1986
following the Chernobyl disaster. Its population had been around 50,000 prior to the accident.
